The results are in!
Australian food and hospitality industry representatives recently let their ‘tastebuds do the talking’ at the Fine Food Australia expo in Melbourne.
Showcasing the delicious, healthy and organic juices and smoothies from German producer, Rabenhorst, our visitors were unanimous in their approval and enjoyment of the sampled products.
Here are the real stand-out favourites of the expo, as voted by your tastebuds.
Blueberry Nectar
Winner in the JUICE GRAND CHAMPION category
The deep rich colour and intense flavour of wild blueberries with just a hint of sweetness from a touch of organic raw sugar won over everyone who tried it – Australian, Chinese, Indian, Malaysian, Vietnamese, European. “Oh, wow!” was the most often-noted comment. Enough said.
Smoothies
Winner in the HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY category
Long shelf-life, no refrigeration until opened, and rich, delicious flavours from organic ingredients won over even the harshest hospitality critics. Cafes, restaurants, hotels and caterers were impressed.
Ginger Mix
Winner in the TREND-DRINK and SUMMER-HIT 2019 category
Embracing subtle ginger tones, even non-ginger lovers were won over. Perfect as a refreshing summer drink or drink mix, it aligns well with current beverage trends. Most popular cocktail suggestion: Ginger-mix + vodka.
Pomegranate
Winner in the PURE JUICE category
This is pure ‘nature in a bottle’. Freshly press organic pomegranates and this is the result. Connoisseurs of finest pure organic juices gave this their top vote – bringing pomegranate juice to a new level in Australia.
Antiox
Winner in the HEALTH+TASTE category
An incredibly well-balanced mix of fruits rich in antioxidants that taste fabulous. The flavour is a delicious berry mix that is neither too stringent nor too strong, but appeals to a wide cross-section. Add the impressive nutrients, then you have a real winner.
Rotbäckchen
Winner in the ENRICHED-JUICE, AGED-CARE and “CAN I HAVE SOME MORE?” categories
If I had a dollar for every time I heard “My (grand)mother always gave me that as a child!!” at Fine Food Australia, I would be rich! Germans in their 20s, 30s, 40s+ all wanted to taste a ‘bit of childhood’ – a delicious trip down memory lane. Their colleagues loved them too – expecting a very sweet blackcurrant cordial style of drink – but very pleasantly surprised at the delicious grape/berry fruits with subtle sweetness through organic honey. Aged-care home caterers voted this their favourite juice for their clients.
